Juneteenth is Coming
Are you ready?We have only two weeks until Juneteenth. This year is the 140th anniversary of the day the last slaves found out they were free.
If you don't know about Juneteenth, learn here.
What are you doing for Juneteenth? Perhaps you're going to a barbecue, or a rally, or some other community event. Perhaps you don't have any plans.
No matter what is on your schedule, plan to take action. Join the Black Donor Class.
Together we can build the Black Donor Class- Black people all around the country donating small amounts of money to independently fund positive change in our communities.
Our goal is to raise at least $2,000 from at least 100 different people by Juneteenth- that's just $20 per person.
Donors who give $100 or more will be known as Founding Donors.
Whatever you can give is great- $1, $5, $10- it doesn't matter.
Juneteenth is coming.

A volunteer list is a great idea. I'll add this to the agenda of tonight's steering committee meeting. Currently, we have volunteers floating about but no list
I suspect we are likely to have an online database that allows volunteers to connect with each other, as well as dedicated electronic list for volunteer action.
